The California Fuchsia is a perennial with dense, fuzzy, gray green foliage that reaches 3' tall and 5' wide, with a sprawling habit. This California native has red, narrow, trumpet-shaped blooms from late summer through fall that attract hummingbirds. It prefers full sun and regular watering and more during hot summer months. This plant tolerates poor soil.

This attractive perennial looks like an ornamental grass with its long strappy leaves that arch gracefully. Foliage is variegated with creamy yellow margins. Turquoise colored berries appear from fall through winter. This plant reaches 3.5' tall and 1' wide. It does best in part to full shade although it will take full sun in coastal areas. It needs well draining, moist or wet soil. Great for a water garden or in a boggy shady area.

This beautiful clumping succulent reaches 2'-3' tall and 3'-4' wide. Leaves are thick, gray, 2' long and 3" wide, with a soft terminal spine and backward curving brown spines on margins. Rosettes are 2' tall and wide. It tolerates full to part sun and may be frost tender. It is drought tolerant once it's established. It needs well draining soil. Blooms are infrequent.

This attractive succulent has foliage resembling blue green grass with white fraying fibers along margins that reaches. Red, bell shaped flowers rise above foliage in spring and summer on arching stems with overall height of 3'. This plant tolerates full to part sun with well draining soil. It is drought tolerant once it's established but will do better with occasional summer watering. Flowers attract hummingbirds. Tolerates alkaline soil. Will naturalize slowly.
