Common name:Spanish Lavender

This dense shrub grows 2'-3' tall with blue gray foliage and deep purple flowers that have large showy bracts near the top of the spikes. It is drought tolerant .

Purple Japanese Maple

Common name:Purple Japanese Maple
Botanical name:Acer palmatum 'Dissectum Atropurpureum'

The Laceleaf Japanese Maple stands6 feet high and 6 feet wide at its largest, with a pendulous growth habit. The leaves have a beautiful red radiance that makes it a highly desireable specimen plant.

Coast  Rosemary

Common name:Coast Rosemary
Botanical name:Westringia 'Wynyabbie Gem'

This evergreen shrub will grow 3'-6' high and 6'-8' wide and has lavender flowers that bloom from February through spring. It is drought tolerant and does well in full sun or partial shade.

Blue Fescue

Common name:Blue Fescue
Botanical name:Festuca glauca

This ground cover/grass will grow less than 1' tall and has small, blue green leaves.

White Baccopa

Common name:White Baccopa
Botanical name:Sutera cordata

White Baccopa is a prostrate ground cover with white flowers. It stays under 12" in height.

Bamboo Muhly

Common name:Bamboo Muhly
Botanical name:Muhlenbergia dumosa

The clumping grass grows to mature size of 6' tall by 5' wide. It is an easy to control grass that is drought tolerant, cold tolerant and accepts full sun. Flowering plumes appear fall and winter with purple spikes rising above the foliage. Leaves are chartreuse, fine and textured, creating a soft billowy effect. It spreads slowly by underground stems. It needs moderate to ample water but well drained soil. Cut back during spring when it begins growing; divide every 3-4 years.

Western Redbud

Common name:Western Redbud
Botanical name:Cercis occidentalis

This deciduous shrub ranges from 6'-20' tall and 10'-15' wide. It is desirable for its magenta spring flowers, yellow to red fall color, and dangling winter seed pods. It is tolerant of many soil types, drought and oak root fungus. It attracts hummingbirds and butterflies. The Western Redbud can be found statewide in CA in the foothills below 4500' elevations in chaparral and woodland communities.
