Cissus rhombifolia is an evergreen vine with beautiful, dark green leaves divided into diamond-shaped, toothed leaflets 1"-4" long. The veins on the leaf's undersides have reddish hairs, giving foliage a bronzy overtone. Outdoors, it grows to 20' high and can be trained on a support.

The Mexican primrose is a perennial groundcover that remains 10"-12" high with profuse pink flowers in the summer. It spreads quickly by underground rhizomes, is drought tolerant, and hardy to 10 degrees F. It attracts birds. It may be considered invasive in some areas. This is a great plant for difficult, dry hillsides.
In the natural world the endless cycle of birth, growth, decay, death and rebirth flows throughout the seasons. Plants die, leaves fall and new growth springs up in its place. Nothing is lost and the fallen leaves and dead plants decay into the soil, enriching it for the next generation of growth.
