This clumping plant with straight stems of 6'-7' and narrow, bright green leaves is a favorite of hummingbirds. These highly aromatic leaves are accented by pale blue and white flowers. The flowers are arranged in 7" long, branched clusters. This plant blooms throughout the entire summer.

Sticky Monkey Flower is a drought tolerant evergreen shrub 4' tall with numerous, orangish yellow flowers in spring and summer. It is a California native that attracts hummingbirds. This shrub can be found on the dry hills and canyon slopes in the Sierra Nevada foothills and the central Coast Ranges.

This Heuchera is believed to be a hybrid between the native Heuchera maxima and the non-native Heuchera sanguinea. The name is a little misleading as the flower is more pinkish red than it is red or cardinal. It is best used in dry shady conditions with well drained soil. Once established, it requires little care. It is susceptible to mealy bugs and root rot if it receives too much water. It grows to 18"-24" tall and wide. It looks great in mass plantings.

Globe Gilia is an annual that grows 8"-30" tall and 8" wide. Pale blue to violet-blue flowers with blue pollen are carried in dense, 1/2" -1.5" wide clusters that look like pincushions. It generally blooms in spring through summer.

The California Bay is an aromatic evergreen tree or large shrub that is very slow growing and reaches 30'-60' high. It can tolerate sun or shade , moist or dry conditions, and droughts. The California Bay is a native of California and Oregon.

Botanical name:Dendromecon harfordii
An evergreen shrub that grows quickly to 5'-8' tall and 6'-10' wide; the harfordii bears deep yellow poppy flowers to 3" wide with orange stamens. Its heaviest bloom period is in the spring, with some flowers almost all year. The plant requires sun, good drainage, and little or no summer watering.

Standing 40' tall, bright green foliage highlights this tree. Ideal for planting on golf courses or near the coast, the Monterey Cypress spreads with age to shed its narrow and pyramidal structure of youth. It grows best in coastal habitats where it is not exposed to extreme heat or humidity.
