Pale yellow flowers appear to float on long, slender stems. Leaves are green to gray-green leaves, which are flatter and less divided than those of the Achillea millefolium. This shrub tolerates sun, light shade, little water, and is hardy to 15 degrees F. The Mexican Sage is drought tolerant and attracts hummingbirds.

This perennial will grow about 3" tall and 3' wide. It has small, dark green leaves with clusters of purple lavender flowers that bloom in spring and summer. Leaves are fragrant when crushed and can be used for seasoning.
