Mt. Elgon Aloe |
This easy-to-grow aloe forms clumps of rosettes that are 1' wide. Leaves are recurved, green, glossy, pointed but start off pink when first emerging. Margins have signficant teeth. From spring through summer, red flowers appear above foliage, up to 3' tall. It does well in full sun for best foliage color but tolerates some shade. It needs well draining soil. It is drought tolerant once it's established. Very attractive and architecturally interesting.
